Take your patient care to the next level by incorporating materials that do more than just ‘fill’ or ‘seal’ teeth. Hydrophilic, bulk-fill, biomimetic, desensitizing, remineralizing. The chemical and physical properties of glass ionomer restoratives make them an ideal dental material choice. For clinicians that are either new to glass restoratives or looking to expand their use of these materials, the wide array of products can sometimes create confusion. Dr. MacLean will use case studies to demonstrate how she utilizes different materials to achieve clinical success. Learn how glass ionomer cement sealants can do more than just provide a physical barrier from plaque on pits and fissures, they are hydrophilic, can be placed on partially erupted molars, and act as a fluoride reservoir that helps to prevent caries and enhance remineralization. Glass hybrid restoratives help to reduce post-op sensitivity, reduce recurrent caries, improve outcomes, and have enhanced physical properties for long-lasting durability and esthetics. Dental materials are evolving and so should you!

Digital technology has made another advancement, allowing clinicians to explore the role of mandibular jaw motion tracking in enhancing digital aesthetic and restorative workflows. Participants will learn how motion tracking technology functions as a virtual articulator, enabling more precise treatment planning and predictable outcomes. Clinical case examples will illustrate how integrating jaw movement data with intraoral scanning and CAD/CAM systems supports accurate smile design, functional restorations, and improved patient care.

The only constant in dental materials is change! Technological and chemical innovations are offering impressive advancements. Today’s conventional composites offer clinicians two options: First, the esthetic traditional layering technique and second, the bulk-fill technique. The former being the choice for most restorations in the anterior smile zone and the latter, often selected for the posterior regions of the mouth. While bulk-fill materials typically are deep-curing, time saving and offer clinical efficiency, they too often lack the esthetic properties required for beautiful esthetically demanding anterior restorations. For this reason, most clinicians have a second composite system in office that is designed to be placed in two-millimeter increments and will sometimes require a variety of shades to meet the esthetic demands. A new next-generation of resin composites is emerging. One that offers you the clinical efficiency of a bulk-fill, with an easy cluster shade-matching protocol and phenomenal esthetics! With outstanding, non-sticky handling and excellent polishability, perhaps now you only need one class of material for all of your restorative needs. At the conclusion of the CE webinar the attendees will have a clearer understanding of the clinical impact that this new chemistry and technology can have on their everyday restorative dentistry. More importantly, the attendees can evaluate if these evolutions may have a place in their own clinical practice.

Uncontrolled salivary acids can wreak havoc on the oral cavity. With so many contributing factors diagnosis and treatments choices still remain the key. In this CE webinar, join us as we delineate a clear roadmap which will lead to optimal treatment.
A vast majority of the indirect restorations place in the dental practice currently are either fabricated from zirconia or lithium disilicate. The popularity of these materials is due to their excellent esthetics, durability and can be fabricated at a reasonable fee. But these materials are different and a significant factor in the clinical longevity of these materials is following correct clinical protocol at delivery and an understanding of the what the best choices of cement materials that are currently available. This CE webinar will discuss the appropriate protocol for the pretreatment of these two materials to maximize the retention of each type of restoration. Additionally, the webinar will discuss the different categories of dental cements currently available and which cements are better choices for each type of material and the clinical situation presented.
In this one-hour CE webinar, students will understand the intricacies of adhesive dentistry, focusing specifically on protocols tailored for the optimal bonding of zirconia and eMax materials. Upon completion of this CE webinar, the student will be equipped with a comprehensive understanding of the principles underlying predictable adhesive dentistry. They will be able to identify the specific challenges and considerations associated with bonding zirconia and eMax, gaining insights into material properties, surface treatments, and adhesive techniques. Additionally, students will become more familiar with the latest advancements and best practices in adhesive dentistry, including adhesive selection, surface preparation, and bonding protocols. Armed with this knowledge, participants will be empowered to implement techniques that ensure durable and aesthetically pleasing restorations, elevating their clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

In the past, we didn't have many choices when it came to CAD CAM blocks. But today we do. In this episode, we'll be talking to a dentist who is well aware that Zr wins the strength contest but he has plenty of reasons to stay the course with LiSi. He specifically prefers a specific Lithium Disilicate bloc that saves him the step of firing after chairside milling. To tell us all about it is Dr. Yao-Lin Tang, who has over twenty years of practical knowledge in cosmetic and general dentistry. He is a CEREC user since 2005, a certified CEREC trainer, and a Visiting Faculty at CDOCS.com.

Most of us have started using zirconia as a material for our indirect restorations. We either mill it chairside or send it out to the lab to be fabricated. Either way we need to make sure that our technique is perfect when delivering it to the tooth, especially if we are working with a non-retentive prep. If we need to rely on adhesion, we have to understand the nuances of bonding zirconia to tooth structure. To tell us all about it is our guest Dr. Alex Vasserman. Dr Vasserman is a respected clinician running his own practice on the Upper East side of Manhattan.

One of the most valuable steps a new dentist can take is finding a mentor—someone who’s been in the field for 25 years or more and has learned through experience, including their own mistakes. A mentor offers the chance to see what lies ahead, helping you avoid getting caught up in the moment and make well-thought-out decisions about the kind of practice you want to build and the investments you’ll need to make. Today, we’re sitting down with Dr. Chris Pescatore, a general dentist with over 30 years of experience. He has been a pioneer in digital dentistry since the early ’90s and has seen it all when it comes to creating aesthetic restorations. As you listen to Dr. Pescatore’s insights, we hope you gain invaluable advice to help guide you as you embark on your own dental career.
