As adhesives and cements continue to evolve, change, and improve, it becomes more difficult for restorative dentists to keep up with the latest advances. With increasingly higher patient expectations for long term clinical success, it is important that dentists have an understanding of these materials in order to make sound decisions on what to use when and why. This CE webinar will discuss the different generations of adhesives and categories of cements including those with bioactive properties. Clinical cases will be shown to demonstrate the use of these adhesives and cements including the proper protocols that must be followed.

Health inequities persist for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Individuals with developmental disabilities experience poorer oral health and challenges accessing dental care. Historically, the dental curriculum did not require training dental professionals to care for and manage the treatment of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Providers often report feeling unprepared to care for this population. This CE webinar will evaluate the current barriers to care, identify complex factors contributing to oral health, and equip the dental provider with strategies to improve patient care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Dental materials have evolved alongside CAD/CAM technology at a relatively rapid pace. Understanding the fundamental nature and behavior of dental ceramics and cements is an integral part of the decision-making process in restorative dentistry. The correct selection of materials and understanding the limitations of each dental material will help improve clinical success. This CE webinar provides a comprehensive classification of indirect restorative materials and their clinical applications, with the goal of equipping clinicians with the necessary knowledge to evaluate and correctly apply emerging materials.

If we can get abs in 7 minutes why can't we beat that time for a crown prep!? Our patients love us for the relationships we build with them, not for our crown margins. But what if we can deliver precise and EFFICIENT crown preps, conserve tooth structure, and give them a restoration that can last decades? Ultimately, they will love that too!
Direct resin posterior restorations can be challenging to blend with the surrounding tooth structure for several reasons ranging from discoloration of underlying tooth structure that can result when replacing an old amalgam that stained the dentin, teeth discolored due to tetracycline or other things related to when the tooth developed, tooth shades that do not fit standard Vita shades, to enamel and dentin that varies in shade on the tooth. Luckily, advances in restorative composite materials have allowed development of single shade resin materials for direct restorations, offering a simpler process using fewer materials to achieve excellent aesthetics that blends with the surrounding tooth. In this CE webinar, the benefits of using a universal shade composite to simplify direct resin restorations for use for Class I and II restorations, Class V restorations and core buildups will be discussed.

Today we'll discuss integrative oral medicine and how it relates to conditions like OSA. We'll also discuss the importance of using biologically kind restorative materials that promote systemic health and predictable long-term clinical success. Our guest is Dr. Mark Cannon, a Professor of Otolaryngology, Division of Dentistry at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine, and a member of the International Association of Pediatric Dentistry. Dental practices that open their doors to patients with developmental disabilities not only are rewarded with immense fulfillment in their work, but also a rapid expansion of their patient base through the powerful network of word-of-mouth marketing. They end up treating the entire family of the patient with the disability as well as their friends, relatives, and so forth. It is a fantastic way to grow your practice. To tell us more about helping patients with developmental disabilities get access to good dental care is our guest Jeanette Diaz. Jeanette is an educator, public speaker, and independent dental hygienist in California. She owns and operates a portable dental hygiene practice serving older adults and individuals with developmental disabilities. Jeannette currently works for the California Department of Developmental Services and teaches graduate and undergraduate studies.
