This one-hour CE webinar presents a comprehensive approach to isolation in the pediatric and adolescent patient across restorative, preventive, and hygiene procedures. The webinar begins with rubber dam fundamentals and the clinical situations in which the dam remains the standard of care. It then examines hands-free isolation systems in depth, addressing intraoral mouthpiece selection for primary and transitional dentition, anterior applications where adequate isolation is most difficult to achieve, posterior quadrant dentistry, and the setup modifications required to accommodate varying levels of patient cooperation.
The course also addresses the combined use of isolation and air polishing for the efficient removal of stain, plaque, and calculus - an approach of particular value in orthodontic patients, for whom conventional prophylaxis is both time-consuming and incomplete. Emphasis is placed throughout on defined team roles, as the consistency and quality of isolation depend as much on the assistant and hygienist as on the treating dentist. Participants will leave with a clear division of responsibility for who places, verifies, and manages isolation in the operatory.
Effective isolation makes routine procedures easier and more predictable. In this CE webinar, you will see how routine procedures are made more efficient with effective isolation, and how isolation can be simplified.
Dentistry, when everything is going well, can be incredibly gratifying, productive, and even effortless. Unfortunately, factors like strong gag reflexes, macroglossia, limited access, hemorrhage control, poor oral hygiene, and challenging anatomy can make delivering excellent dentistry difficult despite our best efforts. In this CE webinar, Dr. Gupta highlights technological advancements, clinical strategies, products, and innovations that empower practitioners to deliver the highest quality dentistry - with greater predictability, reduced stress, and improved outcomes.
Successful adhesive dentistry depends as much on effective isolation as it does on the bonding system itself. While rubber dam isolation is often considered the gold standard, it is not always practical or feasible in everyday clinical practice. This CE webinar will provide a realistic, evidence-based discussion of isolation and bonding strategies used in real-world restorative dentistry. Participants will compare the advantages and limitations of common isolation techniques, including rubber dam, high-volume evacuation, and alternative isolation methods. The webinar will also focus on practical management of contamination during adhesive procedures, including saliva and blood contamination of tooth preparations. Strategies for cleaning and reconditioning contaminated surfaces will be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on integrating isolation systems that improve efficiency, enhance moisture control, and safely manage debris during procedures.
This CE webinar is designed to enhance the clinical efficiency and confidence of dental assistants and team members through comprehensive training in modern isolation techniques. Attendees will receive hands-on instruction on how to improve moisture control, visibility, ergonomics, and patient comfort using advanced isolation tools. Learn how to become an indispensable clinical partner by perfecting your isolation skills to support the dentist and elevate procedural outcomes.
