Snoring is a widespread condition associated with vibration of the soft tissues of the upper airway, particularly the uvula and soft palate, during sleep. Traditional surgical interventions may involve significant morbidity, driving interest in minimally invasive and non-invasive alternatives. This CE webinar explores the clinical application of non-ablative 2940 nm Er:YAG laser therapy as an outpatient approach for the management of primary snoring. The procedure utilizes sub-ablative settings to deliver controlled thermal energy to the oral mucosa and underlying connective tissues. This targeted heating is intended to stimulate collagen remodeling and neocollagenesis, contributing to tightening of the soft palate and surrounding tissues and reducing their tendency to vibrate during sleep. The webinar will review patient selection criteria, the biological mechanisms and laser-tissue interactions involved, recommended treatment parameters, the clinical procedure step by step, safety considerations, and the available scientific evidence regarding treatment outcomes and durability.

This CE webinar will provide clinicians with an evidence-based understanding of non-invasive Er:YAG laser therapy for the management of primary snoring. The learning objectives include understanding the mechanisms responsible for snoring, patient selection, the biological effects of non-ablative Er:YAG laser energy on oral tissues, and the clinical protocol for Er:YAG laser therapy. Participants will also learn how to evaluate treatment outcomes, safety considerations, and the current evidence regarding efficacy and durability.

Upon completion of this CE webinar, the student should:
• Understand the mechanisms of snoring: Explain the anatomical and physiological factors contributing to primary snoring, including soft palate and uvula vibration and partial upper airway collapse
• Identify appropriate patient candidates: Recognize patient selection criteria, indications, limitations, and considerations for non-invasive Er:YAG laser treatment of primary snoring
• Understand laser-tissue interaction: Explain how non-ablative 2940 nm Er:YAG laser energy interacts with oral soft tissues and the proposed mechanisms of controlled heating, collagen remodeling, and neocollagenesis
• Apply the clinical treatment protocol: Describe an Er:YAG laser treatment protocol, including treatment areas, laser parameters, procedural steps, treatment intervals, and patient management
• Evaluate clinical outcomes and safety: Review the available scientific evidence regarding treatment efficacy, duration of clinical benefits, potential side effects, safety considerations, and appropriate follow-up   ( disclaimer, bio and commercial disclosure )
